Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Schools Tree Day at Wyoming Public School
On Friday July 25, our enthusiastic Environmental Club students rolled up their sleeves and planted trees around our school grounds in celebration of Schools Tree Day.
The trees were generously donated by Princeton Wholesale Nurseries, with a special thank you to Kay Bell for making this possible. It was a wonderful hands-on experience for our students, who loved contributing to a greener future for our school and community.
NAIDOC 2025
In the last week of term 2 Wyoming Public School celebrated NAIDOC day. We embraced this year's theme 'The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy.' Students participated in some wonderful cultural activities including, art and craft, traditional games, dreamtime stories, bush tucker, artefacts, First Nation's Quiz and traditional dance with students from NVHS. Even though the weather was not fantastic, we all had a great time and finished off the day with some sharing of student artworks, poetry and songs in an assembly.
After being postponed twice due to weather, our Athletics Carnival finally went ahead – this time in the rain! Despite the wet conditions, students showed incredible determination and sportsmanship as they competed across the events. It was wonderful to see everyone giving their best effort, cheering on their peers, and making the most of the day. A big thank you to staff, families and students for their flexibility and enthusiasm in ensuring our carnival was a success, rain or shine!
