3/4P - Term 4

Welcome to term 4!

English: This term, we are reading the picture book, ‘The Little Refugee’ by Anh and Suzanne Do. The book is Anh Do’s inspirational story about his family’s incredible escape from war-torn Vietnam and his childhood in Australia, told especially for children. The Focus on Reading and the Seven Steps to Writing programs are being used to improve comprehension and writing.

Mathematics: This term, 3/4P are studying multiplication and division, data, time, mass, patterns and algebra, 2D space and fractions and decimals.

Geography: In Geography this term, students will examine natural and human features of Australia and the diverse characteristics of Australia’s neighbouring countries. They will explore the different climates, settlement patterns and demographic characteristics of Australia. Students will complete an in class research project on China and discover the similarities we share.

Library day is Monday

Technology is Tuesday and Thursday. This term students will have the opportunity to use Dash and Dot robots to further develop their coding and problem solving skills.

Scripture and Assembly are alternate Wednesdays .

Fitness is Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sport is Friday.
