Term 3

Term 3 has begun, and we have been busy bees learning and growing in KA.

We have been continuing to learn how to read and write using all the sounds we have learnt so far. In Maths we are learning how to combine and separate quantities (add and subtract), represent whole numbers and form groups (multiplication and division).

This term we are studying the unit ‘Making Healthy and Safe Choices’ in PDHPE. For Sport, we will continue to practise fundamental movement skills and participate in Tennis lessons during the second half of the term.

In Science this term we will be learning about living things. Our excursion to the farm will support our learning in Science this semester. In Geography, we will be looking at how people live in different places.

We will be performing a dance in showcase at the end of the term and have been practising to perfect our performance. We can’t wait to show you our dance!

HOMEWORK

Homework will continue with sight word practice and home reading which needs to be returned for marking on Fridays.

AFTER SCHOOL ARRANGEMENTS

If your child is catching the bus home or to after school care, or they have other afternoon arrangements, could you please send me a note so that there is no confusion or anxiety at afternoon pick up.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Kindergarten can get messy, we would greatly appreciate it if each family could donate a box of tissues and a packet of baby wipes for use in the classroom. Don’t forget a paint shirt or old t-shirt for your child to keep at school to protect their uniform during messy activities. Library bags are required for your child to borrow a book from the library (a plastic bag will suffice).

A reminder that our Library Day has changed from Thursday to Friday.

Should you need to contact me for any reason please call or email the school office and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
