Welcome to the 4H Class Page

What a year we’ve had so far! Some of the highlights include… an excursion to Sydney, NAIDOC celebrations, Jollybops incursion, Books In Homes, Cross Country Carnival and the Colour Fun Run.

And of course there’s more to come…

Lessons continue to run as usual however some special areas of study/ activities will include:

Science - where we will study ecology (the relationships between living things in “Our Living World”)

Technology - including filmmaking - as part of a special English unit

Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) - will consist of Visual Arts and Dance activities; and

Sport – Tennis with Mark Presdee as part of the Sporting Schools Funding.

You can continue to support your child’s learning at home by monitoring the work on their Science assignment and ensuring daily completion of:

1) reading a book (as part of the Home Reading Program) and ensuring they record their progress in their Home Reading Log;

2) using their personalised multiplication flash cards.

* The Wyoming Public School app for devices is free (Apple and Android) – you can use this to send notes to explain absences, check the calendar of events or check notifications.

*Please ensure your child has all the stationary needs required for learning each day. This includes lead pencils, an eraser, a sharpener, a ruler, coloured pencils, glue and scissors.

* Please ensure full school uniform is worn each day (this includes white socks and black shoes); PSSA Rep jumpers are permitted on Fridays only. Joggers are required on Fridays for sport.

* If your child has any cold or flu-like symptoms (runny nose, sore throat, cough, headache) please keep them at home to reduce the chance of infection to others.

* As part of Education Week, Maths fun day is on Thursday of Week 3 (4/8) – we hope to see you there!

4H is looking forward to another fun filled term.
