Term 3 is going to be a great term for 56B. In weeks 1-5 we are playing tennis for sport, which is helping us work on our agility, coordination and teamwork.
56B are very much looking forward to Showcase this term and are practising our dance regularly.
In our literacy lessons we are working on our informative writing and working on our sentence structure. Please remember that your child is given spelling homework each Monday to be returned on Fridays along with their reading logs. Readers receive great rewards at the end of each term whilst also improving their skills. We can’t express enough how important reading is for all aspects of learning.
In Maths, we have been learning about addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, time and three -dimensional space.
This term we have been studying our Science unit on Earth and Space Sciences. Students are enjoying learning about different planets and Earths place in the solar system.
In Drama, we have been learning about mime and different ways to perform for audiences. All students’ have had a lot of fun with this and are developing their confidence.
Reminders
It is a legal obligation to justify any non-attendance to school within 7 days of your child being absent from school. This will avoid phone calls and letters being send home. This can be done quickly and easily on the school app or website by completing and absence note, phoning or emailing the school or even a handwritten note.
Homework is due Friday mornings.
